The LRN Governing Council and SMT were deeply saddened, on the evening of Thursday 8th September 2022, to hear of the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. We at LRN would like to express our sincere condolences to the Royal Family at this difficult time. The loss of our Sovereign will be felt in a profound way, not just in our places of work, but in our homes and throughout our daily lives.

LRN Update: Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Learning Resource Network (LRN) is keen to ensure its stakeholder network is kept informed as to how it intends to monitor, manage (within its limitations) and remains focused given the recent announcement as to the pandemic nature of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID 19).
LRN wishes to assure centres it is working with the necessary regulatory bodies and UK health agencies regarding the curtailment of contact with those who are displaying symptoms of the COVID-19 virus.
As of immediate effect (12/03/20), I am restricting LRN’s (office-based staff) contact with external stakeholders. This includes attendance at conferences, seminars, centre audits and centre review meetings. I, along with the Senior Management Team (SMT) are meeting weekly to discuss the ever-evolving situation; I will update stakeholders as the position changes.
Internal exams along with assignment based exams will run as normal. However, there will be some disruption at our exam-based centres (within the UK and Overseas) with regard to speaking, listening, reading and writing exams. In countries where local government has restricted gatherings or congregation of people, including schools, colleges and training centres, we expect there to be some changes to exam schedules.
LRN is in communication with centres and agencies within the UK and Overseas with a view to returning to business as usual as soon as this is permissible. We will keep you informed. Please note, information updates will be made via the portal (www.portal.lrnglobal.org) and via its website (www.lrnglobal.org).

Centres who have booked exams and now need to reschedule or cancel their exams should refer to LRN’s policy on refunds and transfers. This is available via the portal. Please note, LRN will grant additional flexibility in the application of this policy.
Further information is available via www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019 or https://www.gov.uk/government/topical-events/coronavirus-covid-19-uk-government-response.

LRN would ask that all centres follow the advice of local government and official institutions. For further advice, please email us at enquiries@lrnglobal.org.
